Fibber Magees

Walk to the back of Robinsons Saloon or enter from Blackstaff Square at the rear of the building & you find a hidden gem; Fibber Magee’s is the genuine article, a spit and sawdust bar, packed to the rafters with old Irish artefacts.

It's truly a step back in time. The peat is crackling as it burns in the great fireplace and there are tunes being played which is music to any ears. It's Uilleann (pronounced “ill-yan”) Pipes meaning “Pipes of the elbow” in Irish, fiddle and whistle played with flamboyant precision.

Traditional musicians entertain night after night to a throng of people and the “craic is always ninety” as we say in these parts. C’mon over & join us for a pint and live the past at Fibbers.
